The Oak Lawn Park District is committed to promoting a strong sense of community by providing cultural and recreational opportunities in a fun and safe environment. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all ages, abilities and ethnic backgrounds by offering a variety of leisure services that will promote physical and mental wellness. We are devoted to preserving open space as well as establishing and maintaining beautiful parks and facilities. Our Mission, as Stony Creek team members, is to recognize that we are in the recreation industry and are fortunate that our patrons have chosen to spend their valuable time with us. We are committed to providing a positive experience that provides recreational value.
General Rules and Regulations at Stony Creek Golf Course
- USGA rules govern play unless modified by local rules
- Persons ages 12 and under are required to be accompanied by an adult
- Juniors must present a valid ID (school ID, library card, etc.) to receive discounts
- All golfers must have a golf bag and a minimum of 3 golf clubs
- Non-golfing spectators are allowed on the golf course for an additional fee
- Authorized Park District Agents (starters, rangers, etc.) have the authority to enforce all rules and regulations
- Local ordinance prohibits patrons from bringing outside alcohol on to Stony Creek property (No personal coolers)
- Please do not get upset when our staff enforces this policy, it is necessary
- No private golf carts will be allowed on Stony Creek property
- All golfers agree to assume their own liability
- Applies to hitting golf balls astray and causing personal or property damage
- Each golfer agrees to hold, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Oak Lawn Park District, its agents and employees from any and all liability arising from golfers’ usage of the golf course
- The Oak Lawn Park District and its employees are not responsible for the loss of or damage to personal property or for injuries
- Violation of rules, regulations, golf etiquette, or Park District ordinances of abuse to the golf course is cause to deny use of the facility, present and future
- Dress code at the golf course shall be that all golfers will wear proper golf attire
- Apparel with profanity, swim-wear, tank tops, and metal spikes are prohibited
- Golfers are to follow the 90 degree rule when cart path only is not in effect
- Two riders and two golf bags per cart
- Keep cart on path at all times near greens and tees
- Must be 18 years of age and possess valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart
